Lisa Wilkinson

I can proudly say that I went to Campbelltown Infants, Primary and High Schools. Thirteen years of public school, and I loved just about every minute of it, even allowing for the usual bouts of teen angst, fear of exams, and those bottles of just warm milk they used to leave out in the sun for us to drink at recess.

Adam Cooney

I grew up in Flagstaff Hill, South Australia. I went to Flagstaff Primary School before moving on to Blackwood High School. At the end of Year 11, I transferred to Aberfoyle Park High School where I completed Year 12.

Shannon McGuire

I grew up in a town called Gidgegannup, where I attended the local school, Gidgegannup Primary School.

Matthew Mitcham

I grew up in Brisbane. My first primary school was Our Lady of Mount Carmel Primary School (Grade 1 to Grade 5) and my second primary school was Gumdale State School (Grade 6 and 7).

Celebrating the best in public edcation

Our Schools will be an Australia wide celebration of public education, to be launched in early 2011.

It’s about connecting schools with their communities and former students.

It’s about recognising what’s great about Australian public schools and shining a spotlight on the amazing networks and communities that are formed through Our Schools.

Let’s share what’s great about Our Schools with the rest of Australia.
